Terms of Service

Terms for using PassWizard. They are designed for visitors worldwide, with specific respect for Switzerland, the EU/EEA and non-waivable mandatory law.

Scope and operator

These Terms govern your use of the PassWizard website operated by Monswyk AG, Switzerland. Legal identification of the provider (address and registration details) is available on our Imprint page.

The service

PassWizard offers password-related tools and content (including password generation, Wi‑Fi QR codes, security guides and related features) free of charge. Unless a feature page states otherwise, password generation runs locally in your browser; no user account is required. Some features rely on third parties (for example breach checks against public databases). Where that applies, data flows and responsibilities are explained on the relevant page and in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse or attack the service, probe or breach security, strain or disrupt infrastructure, scrape or harvest data beyond reasonable personal use, reverse engineer our site except as permitted by law, or use generated information to commit unlawful acts. We may use technical measures to limit abusive traffic or access where reasonably necessary.

Intellectual property

Texts, branding, layout and software elements on this website are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the website for personal or internal business purposes. Any broader use (including reproduction of substantial parts of our content for commercial redistribution) requires our prior written consent unless mandatory law allows otherwise.

Privacy, cookies and advertising

Processing of personal data and use of cookies or similar technologies (including analytics and advertising where configured) are described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our cookie/consent controls.

Third-party websites

The website may contain links to third-party sites or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content, availability or policies. Visiting them is at your own risk.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement). We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Monswyk AG and its directors, employees and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data or loss of goodwill arising from or related to your use of the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is unlawful. If you are a consumer, mandatory statutory rights—including non-waivable consumer-protection rules applicable in Switzerland, the EU/EEA or elsewhere—remain unaffected.

Governing law

These Terms and any non-contractual matters connected with them are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would refer to another jurisdiction. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the EU or EEA, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence may also apply where such provisions cannot validly be contractually waived.

Dispute resolution and jurisdiction

Subject to mandatory applicable law, the courts at the statutory seat of Monswyk AG in Switzerland shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or EEA, you may benefit from mandatory jurisdiction rules that allow you to bring proceedings in the courts of your Member State of residence where EU law requires. The European Commission hosts an Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board unless applicable law requires us to.

Changes

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on this website. Material changes may be highlighted where practical. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
